First Extract the files contained in the 7511573.exe file to a floppy Diskette

To load during the installation of Windows 2000:

1. When booting to the Win2k installation CDROM media; moments after the screen becomes blue, Press F6 when prompted to install third party SCSI controller (this message will appear at the bottom of the screen)
2. Setup will display a message indicating that it could not determine the type of mass storage devices installed in the system.  Press "S" to Specify an Additional Device"
3. It will prompt the user to Insert the Disk labeled:  Manufacturer-Supplied Hardware Support Disk.  Insert the driver diskette and press Enter
4. The user will be presented with three options: for this RAID controller choose:  "MegaRAID Elite 1600 RAID Controller Driver"
5. Continue the OS installation process normally from this point by simply following the instructions presented by the OS installation.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
