This is a Solution for Owners of DXR3 Cards & Win XP by CheepPCs UK DXR3 Driver & DVD Application Software. For Windows XP Editions The Driver Contained in this Package is Not Designed by Creative.com But Is Compatable With the DXR3 Mpeg Decoder Card. It is made by Sigma Designs for a Product Called HOLLYWOOD Plus. Which is Basically a DXR3 Decoder Card. I Have Made This Package for People Runing Windows XP Home & Pro Editions. It has Been Tested on Home Edition and works Great! Please Install as Follows: (1) If you have installed the Creative PC-DVD Software Remove it by Using Add Remove Programs (In Control Panel) (2) Remove the Driver for the DXr3 Card by Going to Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager. it should be listed under sound,Video & Game Cont (3) If There is A Yellow Mark againt a Item Called Media Controler then just Install the Driver From c:/DXr3XP by selecting Properties and reinstall Driver. The Driver You are Installing is Called Sigma Designs Holywood Plus. (4) Restart The PC Now! (5) Now Go Back to Control Panel,System,Hardware,Device Manager and check that the Yellow ! Has Gone - If it has then goto Next Step . If The Yellow ! Is still There then go back to step (2)...and Try Again (6) Now Goto the c:/DXR3XP Directory and run the Setup Package. This Installs The DVD Media Player that is designed to work with this Package.Follow all the Instructions until It is Complete. (7) After Instalation you should find a Icon On the XP Descktop called DVD STATION - Run it and put a DVD MOvie in your drive. (8) If you are like me and have multiple CD,CDRW,DVD Drives you will need to Select Your DVD Drive From THe DVD STATION option menu. Now Push Play and Bingo you should be able to Watch your DVD's on your XP system. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
