WG511 connects 11b or 54g 802.11 network automatically, but does not have individual (b or g) Network work mode selections (as in WG511T). Installation Instructions Upgrade DO NOT run WG511v2700.exe, yet! Select Start > Program > WG511 Adapter > Uninstall WG511 Software. Run the v1.6 removal utility, and complete the instructions to complete the removal. Run the v2.7.0.0 installer, WG511v2700.exe. Follow the instructions to complete the installation. If the adapter utility icon does not display: remove and reinsert the adapter. For Windows 98SE or Windows Me, reboot the computer. First time Install: Unzip WG511v2700.zip. Run WG511v2700.exe. Follow the instructions to complete the installation. (The software works with your WG511 regardless of the "appearance" of the WG511 hardware.)Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
