Overview

These are the USB drivers for the Gateway DC-M40 digital camera.


Identification

If you have a Gateway DC-M40 digital camera and are running Microsoft Windows 98 SE, install these drivers.


Installation

The files are extracted to C:\Cabs\9526996.

1.  From the Start menu, click Run.

2.  In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\9526996\Setup.exe.  Click OK.

3.  In the Welcome dialog box, click Next.

4.  Files copy.

5.  In the Setup Complete dialog box, click Finish.


Removal

1.  From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 

2.  In Control Panel, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon. In Windows Me, if you do not see this icon, click View all Control Panel options. 

3.  In the Add/Remove Programs Properties dialog box, click DC-M40, and then click Add/Remove.
 
4.  In the Confirm File Deletion window, click Yes.
 
5.  Files remove.
 
6.  In the Remove Programs Window, click OK.



Troubleshooting

If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
