Proprietary 204xx host adapters for HP scanners This page applies to HP Scanners using the 53C416 chips on Symbios 20401, 20402 or 20403 ISA controllers and 53C400/400A (HP version) ISA controllers.HP scanners are supported by Hewlett-Packard (208)323-2551. Windows 2000 LSI Logic is providing a special, one-time release version driver for Windows 2000 only, for use with the SYM204xx ISA SCSI cards. This driver has been functionally tested using Windows 2000 Professional with HP Deskscan II v2.8 software, and Windows 2000 Server using the built-in imaging software. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
