Overview  
 
This document describes the steps necessary to install and configure the flash memory card reader update for the Gateway 610 or Desktop Flash Memory Card Reader in Microsoft Windows XP.   This update adds graphics to the media bay reader icons in My Computer and Windows Explorer. 


Identification  

If you have a Gateway 610 computer or Desktop Flash Memory Card Reader running Windows XP, install these drivers. 


Installation

After you have downloaded and double-clicked the file (9521578.exe), files are self-extracted and copied into the C:\Cabs\9521578 folder on the hard drive.

1.  From the Start menu, click Run. 

2.  In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\9521578\pinstall.exe.  

3.  In the Begin dialog box, click OK.

4.  The drivers are installed.

5.  In the Completed dialog box, click Close.

5.  In the Reboot? dialog box, click Yes to restart.


Removal

There are no removal steps for this update.


Troubleshooting

If you are having difficulty during or after the software installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the software.

How To Update Drivers Manually
