TRANXIT 1.03 Release The following is a list of instructions concerning the installation of TranXit 1.03. TranXit 1.03 is a maintenance release for existing TranXit users. You must have a version of TranXit currently installed on your system before you can install version 1.03. Before proceeding further you must read and agree to the End-User License Agreement located after the installation instructions in this file. The 1.03 release is primarily concerned with the correction of a problem with the synchronize function. If you accidentally try to synchronize a directory (on the same disk) unto itself the operation can result in loss of data. The following are the installation instructions. 1. After receiving the TRANX103.EXE and the README file from the PUMA Bulletin Board locate both files on your system. The following instructions assume that you have TranXit located on C: 2. Make a separate directory for TRANX103.EXE and copy the file into the new directory. 2a) From the DOS C: prompt type MD C:\TRANX103. 2b) Go to your TRANX103 directory by entering the following commands: C: CD \TRANX103 2c)To copy the update file to this directory type: COPY C:\DOWNLOAD\TRANX103.EXE (DOWNLOAD is the directory where TRANX103.EXE currently resides.) 3. Change directories to TRANX103, by typing CD \TRANX103 4. Type TRANX103.EXE to run the self extracting archive. 5. If you are not already in Windows start Windows by typing: WIN. If you have been running in Windows in DOS Mode return to Windows by typing: EXIT. After Windows has been started you can run TRANX103.EXE from the Program Manager or File Manager. 6. From Program Manager select Run from the File menu. 7. Under Command Line in the Run dialog, enter: C:\TRANX103\SETUP.EXE. 7. Follow the instructions provided in the setup program. You agree that any copies of the Software will contain the same proprietary notices which appear on and in the Software. License Grant: Puma grants to You, as an individual, a non-exclusive license to use one copy of the Software on one pair of computersat a time. This license to use the Software is conditioned upon your compliance with the terms of this Agreement. You agree that you will only copy the Software as necessary and use it in accordance with the License. A License is required for each end-user of the Software. End User Support: This version of TranXit software, which is not for resale separately, was purchased as a pre-installed application from an independent computer manufacturer. End user support for this product is provided by that manufacturer. Puma provides software upgrades which include end-user support directly from Puma. Please consult the user registration and upgrade materials included with the software documentation for further information. Prohibited Uses: Without obtaining prior written permission from Puma, You may not (a.) use, copy, modify, alter, or transfer the Software or documentation except as expressly provided in this License; (b.) translate, disassemble, decompile, reverse program or otherwise reverse engineer the Software; (c.) sublicense or lease the Software or its documentation; or (d.) use the Software in a multi-user, network, or multiple computer environment or in a rental, time sharing or computer service business. Limited Warranty: Puma warrants that the Software will perform substantially in accordance with the accompanying written materials or a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase. Any implied warranties relating to the Software are limited to such ninety (90) day period. End-User Remedies: If the Software does not conform to the "Limited Warranty" section above, Puma's entire liability and your sole and exclusive remedy shall be, at Puma's option, either to (a.) correct the error, or (b.) help you work around the error. The Limited Warranty is void if failure of the Softwarehas resulted from accident, abuse, or misapplication. Any replacement software will be warranted for the remainder of the original Limited Warranty period. No Other Warranties: PUMA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE IS ERROR FREE, EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY IN THE "LIMITED WARRANTY" SECTION. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
