   What's New in Version 2.00 Software Driver Release
   ==================================================

  1. Added Windows XP Tested driver in separate directory (*).
  2. Improved Transmit and Receive throughput performance.
  3. Fixed Fiber not automatically link up issues.
  4. Minor bugs fixes (driver version correction in inf. and .sys)

(*) Known XP Issue:

  GA621 installing on WindowsXP Professional/Home edition:
**********************************************************
Windows XP sees GA621 as "National Semiconductor Corp DP83820 Gigabit Network Controller" with Driver version: 5.0.4.17 (7/1/2001). This driver will not work. This XP embedded driver is meant for GA622T but not for GA621. The card fails when XP automatically loads this wrong driver to GA621 (yellow warning sign in the network property)

Solution:    Update the driver:

     (a) "Update Driver...": Point to "d:../win2k/netga621.inf" in the CD-ROM version 1.0 (Retail Box). Driver version: 5.0.2.32
     (b) "Update Driver...": Point to "d:../winxp/netga621.inf" in driver version 2.0. Driver version: 5.0.2.33

Important Note: Uninstalling and Reinstalling the XP embedded driver (v5.0.4.17) from network property will not work, WindowsXP will keep loading this the wrong driver (v5.0.4.17) from itself automatically. It has to be done using "Update Driver..." as described above to install correctly.
