  Getting started
  ---------------
  Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 do not have CardBus card support.  However, the
  FA510 Cardbus Card driver for Windows NT 3.51 come an enabler that allows
  the FA510 to function in the Windows NT 3.51 environment.


  Driver Installation
  -------------------
  1.  Insert the NETGEAR FA510 Fast Ethernet Cardbus Card before booting up
      the system.
  2.  Double-click Control Panel.
  3.  In the Control Panel, double click the Network icon.
  4.  In the Network Settings window, select Add Adapter.
  5.  In the Add Adapter dialog box, scroll to select Other requires
      disk from manufacturer.
  6.  Click Continue.
  7.  Insert the FA510 Cardbus Card Drivers and Diagnostics diskette into
      the floppy drive.  Type "A:\" and click OK.
  8.  In the Select OEM Option window, click OK.
  9.  Choose the NETGEAR FA510 Fast Ethernet Cardbus card from the list
      and click OK.
  10. Click OK to accept the default settings for the FA510 Cardbus card.
  11. Select the Transport Protocol.
  12. Click OK.
  13. Remove the diskette and click Restart Now.

  Known Limitation
  ----------------
    Since Windows NT 3.51 does not provide support for Cardbus and the
    Cardbus enabler comes from the FA510 Cardbus driver, you cannot use
    the FA510 Cardbus Card with another PCMCIA device.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
