  Getting Started
  ---------------
  Since Microsoft Windows 95B (OSR2) has internal support for Cardbus,
  the NETGEAR FA510 Cardbus Card driver can be installed into the system
  following the procedure stated in the operating system.

  Determining the Win95 versiondows 95
  ------------------------------------
      
    To determine which version of Windows 95 is on the computer, complete
    the following steps.

      - Click on Start button in the lower left corner of the Win95 screen.
      - Select Setting and click on Control Panel.
      - In the Control Panel window, double click on the System icon.
      - When the System Properties window appears, the version indication
        for Windows 95 should be displayed.  You have Windows 95B (OSR2)
        if it displays:

            Microsoft Windows 95
              4.00.905B

  Installaing the FA510 Cardbus driver
  ------------------------------------

    1.  Insert the NETGEAR FA510 Fast Ethernet Cardbus Card.  The Cardbus
        card can inserted either powered-on or powered-off.
    2.  Allow the Plug and Play facility in Windows 95 OSR2 to detect
        the FA510 Cardbus Card automatically.
    3.  When prompted for a disk, insert the FA510 Drivers and Diagnostics 
        diskette.
    4.  Follow the instructions shown on the screen to complete the 
        installation.
    5.  Click Yes when prompted to restart the computer.

    After rebooting, your computer will be ready to network with other
    computers.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
