Turn on your notebook computer without the NETGEAR FA510 CardBus card in the system. Wait until the system completes the entire bootup sequence. 2. Insert the NETGEAR FA510 Fast Ethernet CardBus card into an available CardBus slot in your notebook computer. 3. Since the MAC controller in the NETGEAR FA510 is an Intel 21143 compatible controller, Windows 2000 autotically installs the "Intel 21143 Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter" driver for you. 4. Continue with the remaining steps of the installation. During driver installation, you may need to provide additional information (eg, computer and workgroup names) to properly add your system into the network. From the Windows 2000 desktop, click "Start" --> "Settings" --> "Control Panel" --> "System". 6. Click "Hardware" --> "Device Mananger". All devices in the system will be displayed. 7. Double-click on Network Adapters to show the "NE2000 Compatible" network card. 8. Double-click on "NE2000 Compatible" network card to show the adapter card properties. 9. Click on the "Driver" menu tab. 10. Click on the "Upgrade" button. 11. Select "Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)", click Next to continue. 12. Insert the EA201 driver disk that contains EA201 driver. 13. Continue installation and select "Floppy Disk" when asked where the driver for the network adapter card may reside. 14. Click on "Next" when "Digital Signature Not Found" dialogue box appears. 15. Continue with the remaining steps of the installation.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
