Installing HCF Generic Modem on Win2K A. Extract generic modem driver: 1. After downloaded the HCF generic driver for Win 2000, extract the driver by double click on the Win2k.exe file. B. Upgrading your current modem driver: 1. Double click on the Setup.exe file inside "c:\HCF Modem". If the "Add new hardware wizard" asks for the location of the driver, follow the steps below. 2. Select Yes when a "Digital Signature Not Found" window appears. 3. Click Next. 2. Select "Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver" and click Next. 3. Click on Have Disk. 4. Type "C:\HCF Modem" and Click OK. 5. Make sure the device name is called "Generic - HCF PCI Modem" and click Next. 6. Select Yes on the "Update Driver Warning" and click Next. 7. Select Yes when a "Digital Signature Not Found" window appears. 8. Click Finish when the installation is completed.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
