The procedure to install Driver for Windows NT ---------------------------------------------- *** For The First Time Install Windows NT *** (1) Insert the Microsoft Windows NT Setup Disk for CD-ROM into the drive "A:" on a computer for installing the Windows NT system. Note that a CD-ROM drive is required for the installation. Since the DTC3151X/DTC3181X Windows NT driver is not a build-in driver in the Windows NT, the user needs to add the driver during the setup procedure described in the following steps. (2) Boot the computer and the first screen from NT will show: Welcome to Setup Simply press "ENTER" to continue. (3) The next screen will show: Windows NT provides two Setup methods ..... Press "C" to run the custom setup. (4) NT will then scan for the build-in host adapter drivers and show: Setup has recognized the following SCSI Adapters in your computer: (none) Because the DTC driver is not a build-in driver in this Windows NT version, the user is required to configure additional SCSI adapter by pressing "S". (5) On the next screen, NT will show the available drivers to add. The DTC3151X / DTC3181X Windows NT driver is in the category of: Other (Required disk provided by a hardware manufacturer) Select this category and press "ENTER". (6) NT will prompt to insert into the drive "A:" a diskette: Manufacturer-supplied support disk Insert the diskette you prepared in the step 2. simply press "ENTER". (7) NT will check the floppy and show: DTC3151X / DTC3181X SCSI Host Adapter Press "ENTER". (8) After NT scan the hardware and find the controller, it will display: Setup has recognized the following SCSI Adapters in your computer: DTC3151X / DTC3181X SCSI Host Adapter Press "ENTER" to continue. *** For Windows NT Has Already Installed In Your System *** --The installation procedure For Windows NT 3.1/3.51 (1) Power off your computer. (2) Add DTC3151X / DTC3181X to the ISA slot and connect to SCSI devices. (3) Power on your computer and go into Windows NT. (4) In the Windows NT Main group double click the icon "Windows NT Setup" The screen will show the group "Windows NT Setup." (5) In the Windows NT Setup click the "Options" and then click "Add/remove SCSI Adapters..." The screen will show the group "SCSI Adapter Setup" (6) In the SCSI Adapter Setup click "Add..." The screen will show a "Setup Message" and Windows NT will ask "Are you sure want to add a SCSI Adapter?" Click "OK" (7) The screen will show "Select SCSI Adapter Option" In the Adapter field click "Others(Requires a disk form a hardware manufacture)" (8) The screen will show "Insert Diskettes" Insert DTC3151X/DTC3181X Driver Diskette to the floppy and then click "OK." (9) The screen will show "DTC3151X/DTC3181X SCSI Host Adapter" Click "OK" (10) In the "Select SCSI Adapter Option" will show "DTC3151X/DTC3181X SCSI Host Adapter" Click "Install" and then Click "Continue" (11) The DTC3151X/DTC3181X Windows NT driver will copy to Windows NT system. Shutdown Windows NT and Restart. --The installation procedure For Windows NT 4.0 (1) Power off your computer. (2) Add DTC3151X / DTC3181X to the ISA slot and connect to SCSI devices. (3) Power on your computer and go into Windows NT. (4) In the Windows NT Control Pannel click the icon "SCSI Adapters" (5) In the SCSI Adapters click the "Drivers" an then click "Add.." (6) Insert DTC3151X/DTC3181 driver diskette to floppy A (7) In the Install Driver click "Have Disk" (8) Follow the instructions and you will install the driver of "DTC3151X/DTC3181X SCSI Host Adapter" in your Windows NT 4.0. (9) Shutdown Windows NT and Restart.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
