			Windows 2000 Driver

			****Disclaimer****

LSI Logic is providing a special, one-time release version driver for
Windows 2000 only, for use with the SYM204xx ISA SCSI cards. This driver
has been functionally tested using Windows 2000 Professional with HP
Deskscan II v2.8 software, and Windows 2000 Server using the built-in
imaging software.

This driver is being provided AS-IS, and without technical support from
LSI Logic (formerly Symbios).

Hewlett-Packard has dropped the SYM204xx ISA SCSI card from their
scanner packages, and no longer support or provide upgrades for this
ISA SCSI card. This card has reached the end of its technical life span
and is no longer in production or available for distribution.

The LSI Logic supported solution for Windows 2000, or Windows 98 using
a HP scanner, is to upgrade to a PCI SCSI host adpater card, model
SYM20810 (currently about $30.00). The Logo'ed driver in Windows 2000,
(symc810.sys), as well as the bundled driver in Windows 98 (symc8xx.mpd)
support this card.
