 CONTENTS
==========


This upgrade package contains three files which help you to update 
the content of the on board Flash EPROM BIOS ROM chip.

The files are:

1.   AWDFLASH.EXE   - This is the flash BIOS utility.
2.   5SVA120E.BIN   - The BIOS's data file.
3.   README12.TXT   - A text file shows you the procedures to update 
                      the content of the system BIOS.

 UPGRADE PROCEDURES
====================


1. Boot up your system without installing any device driver. 
   
   - If you are using MS-DOS, press <F5> when you see "STARTING MS-DOS"
     in the screen.
   
   - If you are using Windows95, press <shift-F5> when you see "STARTING 
     WINDOWS95".
 
2. Run the AWDFLASH utility
   - Use the command like C:\AWDFLASH 5SVA120E.BIN

3. The AWARD BIOS Utility will prompt you to update your BIOS or not, please 
   reply YES.

4. The BIOS will then be updated automatically.

5. Reboot your system and re-configurate your CMOS settings.

6. The upgrade process is finished.


Please note that it is a new core BIOS and the setting may not be same 
as the user manual listed. If you have problem with the BIOS, please 
do not hesitate to contact our Technical Support Team.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
