ICM Profiles for MINOLTA-QMS magicolor Printers (Windows)

Introduction
------------
An ICM (Image Color Matching)-compliant profile
for your printer is provided in this
directory or available from the Internet at www.minolta-qms.com.
The ICM profile is intended for use by
ICM 1.0 (Windows 95) and ICM 2.0 (Windows XP/Me/2000/98). It also works
with other application-specific color matching systems, such as that in
CorelDRAW 10. This readme file explains how to install the ICM profile.
Consult your application documentation for more information on using this profile.
Downloading ICM Profiles from the Internet

1 Using your Internet browser, go to www.minolta-qms.com.
2 Choose Online Help and Drivers.
3 Select your printer from the drop-down list.
4 Select the appropriate platform.
5 Locate and download the ICM profile.

The ICM profiles are optimized for available printer resolutions.

Installation
------------
1. Using Windows Explorer, open the directory containing the ICM profile.
2. Copy the .ICM file to one of the following directories on your PC:
-- (Windows 9x, Me) Windows\System\Color
-- *(Windows NT4) y\System32\Color
-- *(Windows 2000, XP) y\System32\Spool\Drivers\Color
* where y is "Windows" or "Winnt" depending on your PC's directory naming.
Usage Instructions
------------------
Some applications, like Microsoft Publisher, automatically install
ICM profiles. Others, like CorelDRAW 10, do not. If your application
doesn't install ICM profiles automatically, refer to the application
documentation to install the ICM profile.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
