Windows 95 OSR2 driver support for the PCI1250. Files included: --------------- pcmcia.inf cbss.vxd 40,297 10/16/96 readme.txt Installation: ------------- Follow the instructions described in the 1250inst.doc document. How does the driver work? ------------------------- Since the registers needed to run CSS are identical to the registers in the 1131 the pcmcia.inf file configures the 1250 to use the same driver as the 1131. The updated CBSS.vxd is needed to make this possible. If you are using a 1130/1131 no other files are needed with OSR2. Considerations: --------------- Windows doesn't understand how the 1250 routes interrupts to the system. If your BIOS does not configure the correct interrupt mode then you will have to manually do it before booting into Windows. This involves setting up the 1250 into serial mode or writing the correct interrupt to the interrupt mux's that you are using. Additional Notes: ----------------- The CBSS.vxd on this disk will also support all interrupts when using serial interrupt mode. This fixes a bug that would not allow IRQ3 and IRQ4 to be used. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
