14.08.1998 (c) NOKIA DISPLAY PRODUCTS OY README.TXT NOKIA MONITOR DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 95 AND WINDOWS 98 This document is divided into following paragraphs: CONTENT OF DRIVER SET SUPPORTED OPERATING SYSTEMS PLUG & PLAY SYSTEM INSTALLATION MANUAL INSTALLATION CONTENT OF DRIVER SET ===================== This driver set includes monitor driver file, nokia.inf, and color profiles for ICC color matching, *.icm files. Windows 98 is needed for ICC color matching. These drivers can be installed either from floppy drive or temporary directory. SUPPORTED OPERATING SYSTEMS =========================== Use these drivers only with Windows 95 and Windows 98. These drivers don't support Windows 3.1 or Windows NT 3.5-4.0. PLUG&PLAY SYSTEM INSTALLATION ============================= If your operating system supports Plug&Play, then the system automatically tries to locate the monitor drivers when you have installed your Nokia Monitor. To install Nokia monitor drivers, please follow the instruction on the screen until there is a note: 'Windows will search new drivers ... in any of the following selected locations' If you have Nokia Monitor driver disk, make also sure the operating system is searching driver from floppy drive - usually drive 'A:\'. Or if you have driver files in temporary directory, type the path into 'Specify Location' field - e.g. 'C:\NOKIA_DR'. After you have selected the location of Nokia monitor drivers, please follow the on screen instructions to complete installation. MANUAL INSTALLATION =================== Use following procedure for manual setup Nokia monitor. Please note! Because differences between operating system versions, there can be slight differences between your Operating System behaviour and these instructions. Always read the online information on the display setup screen during monitor setup phase. 1. If you have 'Nokia monitor driver disk..', please insert it into floppy drive, usually 'A:\', otherwise continue. 2. Run 'Control Panel' ->Start Menu ->Settings ->Control Panel 3. Open 'Display' icon ->Locate 'Display' icon in 'Control Panel' window ->Double click the icon 4. Select 'Advanced Settings' ->Click 'Settings' interleaf ->click 'Advanced' button 5. If you can locate both 'display adapter' and 'monitor' label on the setup window go to step 7. 6. Select 'Monitor' tag ->Click on 'Monitor' tag 7. Change monitor ->Click 'Change' button 8. Follow the operating system instructions on the screen until there is 'Have a disk' option. 9. Select 'Have a disk' ->Click 'Have a Disk..' button ->Select drive where Nokia monitor drivers are located floppy e.g. 'A:\' or temp directory e.g. 'C:\NOKIA_DR' 10. Activate 'Show all hardware' ->Click 'Show all hardware' button 11. Pick you monitor on the list ->Activate monitor you are installing by clicking on it. 12. Follow the instructions on the setup screen to finalize your monitor setup.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
