NetWare Server Driver Information This diskette includes a NetWare Server Driver (NE2000.LAN). This server driver defaults to the 802.2 frame type. The 802.3 frame type may also be loaded for this driver to allow 802.3 frame type workstations to login. The server driver on this disk may be used on NetWare version 3.1x or above Requried NLM's, for the different versions of NetWare, must be loaded on the server. The required NLMs for the different versions of NetWare are: 4.x Servers 3.1x Servers ----------- ------------ PATCHMAN.NLM LSLENH.NLM MSM.NLM MSM.NLM MSM31X.NLM ETHERTSM.NLM ETHERTSM.NLM NE2000.LAN NE2000.LAN 4.XX Servers The server driver requires the ETHERTSM.NLM and MSM.NLM to be loaded. If they are not loaded, it will auto-load them (if they can be found in a search path). The MSM.NLM and ETHERTSM.NLM should already be in the SYS:SYSTEM directory on the server. The files on this disk should be used if they are newer than the current version, already on the server. The SYS:SYSTEM directory is usually a search path. Therefore, only the NE2000.LAN driver needs to be loaded manually or via. a *.NCF file. If the search path is not set up correctly for some reason, each NLM can be loaded individually as described earlier. 3.1X Servers The server driver requires the ETHERTSM and MSM31X to be loaded. The MSM31X requires the LSLENH to be loaded. LSLENH requires PATCHMAN to be loaded. Therefore, the server driver can be loaded by following the list as shown above. If the required NLM's are in a search path (such as SYS:SYSTEM), only the following NLM's need to be loaded. LSLENH.NLM NE2000.LAN The LSLENH NLM will auto-load the PATCHMAN NLM. The NE2000 will auto-load the ETHERTSM. The ETHERTSM will attempt to auto-load the MSM. The MSM will NOT load on a 3.1x server, but it must be present for the ETHERTSM to auto- load the MSM31X. After the MSM fails loading, the ETHERTSM will attempt to auto-load the MSM31X. If there were no errors while auto-loading (besides the MSM.NLM), the server driver will finish loading. Otherwise, ensure all required NLM's are in a search path and try again, or load them individual, as shown in the list of required NLM's.Download Driver Pack
