WinFOSSIL v1.12, release date 07/10/96
Copyright (c) 1994-1996 Woodruff Software Systems.

Thank you for trying WinFOSSIL. WinFOSSIL is a 32-bit FOSSIL driver
for Windows 95. It enhances the performance of existing MS-DOS
communication applications such as many bulletin board programs
and terminal emulation packages. WinFOSSIL provides a fast path
from the applications interface to the 32-bit communications drivers
of Windows 95.

WinFOSSIL is SHAREWARE, you are granted a 30-day trial period after
which you are expected to pay the registration fee if you continue
to use this product. Additional shipping charges for international
orders may apply. See the LICENSE.TXT and REGFORM.TXT for more
information.

FOR THE LATEST RELEASE INFORMATION, see the WHATSNEW.TXT included
in this archive.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

To INSTALL: Run the SETUP program included in the distribution
files. Setup installs the driver and supporting control panel
applet. Context senstive help is available in the control panel
applet, press F1 in the fields if you need assistance.

Do not run SETUP from within a directory with a long filename (LFN).
The Windows 95 device installer will not be able to determine the
location of the files. You can work around this by specifying the
short name equivalent for the directory (e.g. c:\WinFos~1 for
C:\WinFOSSIL), but you are encouraged to install this in an 8.3
directory name instead.

WinFOSSIL will always override the existing FOSSIL drivers for active
ports, but to avoid potential conflicts, it is strongly recommended
that you remove your existing real-mode FOSSIL drivers from the
CONFIG.SYS.

To UNINSTALL: Select the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Control
Panel. Find the WinFOSSIL entry in the applications list and then
press the Add/Remove button.

For further information, see the help file accessed by the "Overview"
button in the WinFOSSIL Control Panel application.
