Unzip the file CADJET.EXE to a floppy diskette
and follow the directions for your appropriate
operating system.

This disk contains ENCAD Windows drivers for the 
Windows 3.x (3.1/3.11), Windows 95 and Windows 
NT 4.0 operating systems.  Each driver is located 
in the appropriate directory on the disk. To install 
the correct driver for your particular operating
system follow the directions listed below.

For Windows 3.x (3.1 / 3.11)
Insert the diskette into your floppy drive port.
From the 'Main' group select 'Control Panel' then
'Printers' then 'Add'.  Select 'Have Disk' then
type in a:\3x then select 'Install' OR select 
'Browse' then select the '3x' directory of a:\
and select 'OK.

For Windows 95
Insert the diskette into your floppy drive port.
Select 'Start' then 'Settings' then 'Printers' then 
double-click on the 'Add Printer' icon. 
When prompted select 'Have Disk' then type
in A:\95 and select 'OK' OR select 'Browse'
then select the '95' directory of a:\ and
select 'OK'.

For Windows NT 4.0
Insert the diskette into your floppy drive port.
Select 'Start' then 'Settings' then 'Printers' then 
double-click on the 'Add Printer' icon. 
When prompted select 'Have Disk' then type
in A:\NT40 and select 'OK' OR select 'Browse'
then select the 'NT40' directory of a:\ and
select 'OK'.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
