You can install the reader on the secondary parallel port (LPT2). If you are running Windows 95 or 98, and installing a Parallel Port Fingerprint Reader on LPT2, you must ensure that the port is properly recognized by the system. If the port is not recognized by the operating system, you may be unable to tune the reader during the driver installation process. The Add New Hardware Control Panel Applet can be used to force the operating system to recognize a port. Parallel Port Fingerprint Readers based on Identix sensors support any parallel port mode. The user can enable and set the mode of the parallel port before installing the reader. Set the port for ECP/EPP if available to achieve the optimal reader performance. If ECP/EPP is not available, set the port to bi-directional mode. ============ KNOWN ISSUES ============ THE MT DIGIT FINGERPRINT READER INCOMPATIBILITY ON WINDOWS XP: The MT Digit Fingerprint Reader from SCM Microsystems Datawise will not be properly recognized by Windows XP, and therefore, will not be usable with BioLogon Security System or BioEngine SDK on machines running any edition of Windows XP.Download Driver Pack
