switching between Mac OS 9.x and Mac OS 10.1.X and 10.2.x. Use this if you need to use a non-boot hard drive, scanner, optical drive, etc... This may work on other SCSI cards that have
a 64k flash chip for a BIOS and have the AdvanSys ASC3030 SCSI chip.

ABP3922, ABP3925 - (AdvanSys 9 Fast boot.bin) is the Mac OS 9.x only updated boot BIOS.
This adds support for the newer Mac G4 Quicksilver family. Use this to support a SCSI hard
drive as the boot hard drive under Mac OS 9.x. This may work on other SCSI cards that have
a 64k flash chip for a BIOS and have the AdvanSys ASC3030 SCSI chip.

ABP3922, ABP3925 - (AdvanSys X Fast boot.bin) is the Mac OS 10.1.x and 10.2.x only boot BIOS. Use this to support a SCSI hard drive as the boot hard drive under Mac OS 10.1.x and 10.2. This may work on other SCSI cards that have a 64k flash chip for a BIOS and have the AdvanSys ASC3030 SCSI chip.

switching between Mac OS 9.x and Mac OS 10.1.X and 10.2.x. Use this if you need to use a non-boot hard drive, scanner, optical drive, etc... This may work on other SCSI cards that have a
64k flash chip for a BIOS and have the AdvanSys ASC3050 SCSI chip.

ASB3940UA - (AdvanSys 9 Ultra boot.bin) is the Mac OS 9.x only updated boot BIOS.
This adds support for the newer Mac G4 Quicksilver family. Use this to support a SCSI hard
drive as the boot hard drive under Mac OS 9.x. This may work on other SCSI cards that have a
64k flash chip for a BIOS and have the AdvanSys ASC3050 SCSI chip.

ASB3940UA - (AdvanSys X Ultra boot.bin) is the Mac OS 10.1.x and 10.2.x only boot BIOS. Use this to support a SCSI hard drive as the boot hard drive under Mac OS 10.1.x and 10.2.x. This may work on other SCSI cards that have a 64k flash chip for a BIOS and have the AdvanSys ASC3050 SCSI chip.

  Known Issues
  ====================================================

  1) On Blue and White G3 Macintosh's, when you try and switch between Mac OS 9.2.2 and Mac OS 10.1.3 and above using the Mac OS 9.2.2 Startup Control Panel and a SCSI hard drive, the Startup Control Panel may crash and you will not be able to switch to Mac OS X. We have reported this issue to Apple, but we do not have a solution. The workaround is to use the Mac OS 9.0.4 Startup Control Panel, which does not have to be located in the Control Panels folder, to
switch between Mac OS 9.2.2 and 10.1.3 and above. Warning: The Mac OS 9.0.4 Startup Control Panel does not support switching between Mac OS 9.2.2 and X if both system folders are on the same hard drive and the same partition. They must be on different hard drives or on different partitions on the same hard drive.

  2) On G4 Macintosh's, when you try and switch between Mac OS 9.2.2 and Mac OS 10.1.3 and above using the Mac OS 9.2.2 Startup Control Panel and a SCSI hard drive, the Startup Control Panel maycrash and you will not be able to switch to Mac OS X. We have reported this issue to
Apple, but we do not have a solution. Their are 2 workarounds. The 1st workaround is to use
the Mac OS 9.0.4 Startup Control Panel, which does not have to be located in the Control
Panels folder, to switch between Mac OS 9.2.2 and X. Warning: The Mac OS 9.0.4 Startup
Control Panel does not support switching between Mac OS 9.2.2 and 10.1.3 if both system
folders are on the same hard drive and the same partition. They must be on different hard
drives or on different partitions on the same hard drive. The 2nd workaround is to hold down
the option key on the keyboard while the Mac G4 is powered on. This will bring up a graphical
boot manager and allow you to select the Mac OS version you wish to boot into.

  3) On the Quicksilver G4 Dual 1GHz system and possibly on other Quicksilver G4 models, they
may not deep sleep properly, i.e. fan stays on, and after you come out of sleep you may
experience some quirkiness on your system. We are looking into if we can fix this issue. The
workaround is to not go into deep sleep if you notice any abnormal behavior after sleep.

  4) On the Quicksilver G4 family, which includes the Dual 1GHz, 933MHz, 800MHz, Dual 800MHz,
867MHz and 733MHz systems, you may have difficulty in flashing a AdvanSys Fast or Ultra card on these systems. Depending on whether you have version 1.18 or 1.27 of the AdvanSys Mac BIOS and whether it is a Fast or Ultra card, the Quicksilver G4 on boot may just give you a
gray screen or stop booting on the Mac OS 9.2 screen. Please do not attach any devices to
the cards and try the cards in different slots and give at least 15 minutes for the system to
try and boot into Mac OS 9.2.2. If you can boot into Mac OS 9.2.2, then flash the card with
the BIOS you need and after that booting will be fine. If you cannot boot into Mac OS 9.2.2,
no matter what you try, they you need to flash the card on another system. Any other G4, G3
or PowerPC Macintosh that has PCI slots and has Mac OS 9.2.2 installed should work. Once you
flash the card on the other Mac, then the card will work fine on a Quicksilver G4. If you do
not have access to another Mac, but you have access to a PC, then you can rename the .bin
file you wish to use to utrpcmac.bin, copy the file to a PC floppy disk via a USB Floppy
drive or over a network to a PC and then use our DOS, Win 95, Win 98, or Win ME flash
utilities to write the Mac BIOS to the card on a PC. If you use the DOS Flash Utility, you
type "advdflsh utrpcmac.bin /t" at the dos prompt to flash the card. The flash utilities are
