NW312.TXT Driver File Contents (ax8814x_netware.zip)

         Install LAN Adapter Driver for the NetWare Server 3.12

    . Copy the AX88140.LAN file into the subdirectory of your server.

       Copy A:\NETWARE\SERVER\SRV312\AX88140.LAN C:\SRV312

    . Copy all provided NLM files into your server directory. Type:

       Copy  A:\NETWARE\SERVER\SRV312\*.NLM  C:\SRV312

    . Run SERVER.EXE on the server.

    . Edit the AUTOEXEC.NCF file as follows:

        :load install
         Select <System Option>
         Select <Edit Autoexec.NCF file>

    . Modify the server's AUTOEXEC.NCF as follows:

        load C:\NW312\NBI31X.NLM
        load C:\NW312\MSM.NLM
        load C:\NW312\ETHERTSM.NLM
        load C:\NW312\AX88140.LAN SLOT=??
        bind ipx to AX88140 net=xxxx  ;xxxx is the network number

    . Press Esc after editing.

    . Select "Yes" to save.

    . Select "Exit" to exit installation.

    . Shut down the server and then turn it ON again.

    . The driver is now installed and running.


    . Medium parameters for AX88140.LAN

       Load AX88140.LAN NWAY
          --> Use Auto-Negociation to detect media.

       Load AX88140.LAN TP LINE_SPEED=10
          --> Assign AX88140 to work on TP HALF 10M media.

       Load AX88140.LAN TP LINE_SPEED=100
          --> Assign AX88140 to work on TP HALF 100M media.

       Load AX88140.LAN TP_FULL_DUPLEX LINE_SPEED=100
          --> Assign AX88140 to work on TP FULL 10M media.

       Load AX88140.LAN TP_FULL_DUPLEX LINE_SPEED=100
          --> Assign AX88140 to work on TP FULL 100M media.
