1. Quick start for driver and software installation
====================================================
It's recommended that you setup driver and software before connecting
scanner to your PC for smooth installation. Normally, a software installation
menu appears automatically after this CD-ROM is inserted into your CD-ROM
drive. Click on each item to start installing the software program of your
choice.
If the menu did not appear, please browse the CD and find a program file
named "presetup.exe" in the root directory and double-click on it. The menu
will appear.
If you want to get to know the content of this CD and install software
manually, please refer to the descriptions of the CD content below.

Driver MiraScan v5.01 driver
AbbyyOCR The Abbyy FineReader v4.0 Sprint and v5.0 Try&Buy version. This
OCR (optical character recognition) software program provides
outstanding text recognition results in European language. To
use the "Scan to OCR" or other related functions provided by
MiraScan, this software program must be installed.
PhotoImpression
ArcSoft PhotoImpression is an easy-to-use photo editing and creative
design program that gives you the best of several ArcSoft offerings.
Edit and retouch your photos, then add special effects or place them
in cards, calendars, frames and templates. PhotoImpression also
includes a wide variety of printing options.
PhotoBase the ultimate multimedia organizer that lets you store,manage and access
important image, audio, video and even document files. Mastering PhotoBase
is easy! Simply create albums of your files and enter information in the
customizable Information Fields. Then, choose from a wide variety of activities.
HW-OCR The HW-OCR v5.0 plus version. This software provides excellent
Traditional and Simplified Chinese text recognition ability.
You need to install it under a Chinese system to make this
software program work.
AReader Adobe AcrobatReader v4.0.5. It's a "must have" utility to read
files in the popular cross-platform file format "PDF". You can
find Traditional and Simplified Chinese support fonts here,
too.
AlbumTG Album To Go allows you to quickly and easily transfer images from
your computer, or any Club Photo? Web site, to your Palm OS device
where you can display them individually, or in a slide show format.
eManual Electronic user's manual files. Normally, those files will be
copied to your system after MiraScan 5.01 is installed. You can
read them in this folder with Adobe AcrobatReader v4.0 or
higher versions.
3. Universal Plug and Play installation instruction
===================================================
We sincerely suggest users should setup MiraScan 5.01 driver first, and then install
your scanner set.
If you proceed PnP(Plug and Play) mode, please confirm first what your operation
system is and select the appropriate route path to setup MiraScan 5.01 driver.

required, please select the path to complete the process:

4. MiraScan 5 Upgrade instructions
==================================
When you upgrade your old scanner driver to MiraScan 5.01, please notice the following details:
1) Before installing MiraScan 5.01, TURN OFF your scanner. You may turn it on only after the install process is over.
2) Following the instructions given by Install Wizard to setup MiraScan 5.01.
3) When MiraScan 5.01 has been installed, TURN ON your scanner. Enter Start Menu¡úSettings¡úControl Panel, double click
"System", select "Device Manager" tab, find your scanner in device list, and click "Refresh". If it does not work,
then select the scanner and click "Delete" button; after that, click "Refresh" again.
Once you installed MiraScan 5.01, you will be able to enjoy its advanced functions, including fantastic button music.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
