MegaRAID BIOS updated to support Post Memory Management(PMM) feature provided on some Intel Motherboards and the American Megatrends MegaDual motherboard. Without this change the MegaRAID controller would sometimes hang during POST or CTRL-M could not be entered. With this change, Ctrl-M will be started at the end of POST Important Notes: ================== 1. The Win2k driver v2.68 and latest f/w UF82 (bios_1.66) 2. Support bigger disks such as the 140GB Maxtor, 140GB Seagate, & 140GB Fujitsu. 3. Also backward compatible with smaller disks (18GB, 36GB, & 73GB). 4. The maximum disk drive capacity supported by this controller is 1 Terabyte (1TB) and 10Byte-CDBs are supported (NOT 16). With 10Byte-CDBs, it should support drives /log Installation: ============= MAKE SURE TO FLASH THIS FIRMWARE ONLY WHEN USING A MEGARAID Enterprise 1200(428). 1. Create a bootable floppy. This floppy should be a basic boot disk without a config.sys or autoexec.bat; if using a Windows 98 Boot disk, bypass these files by holding down the left shift key. 2. Take a second blank floppy, and extract all the files from the .ZIP with the firmware in it. 3. Reboot the system, and boot from the DOS bootable floppy. At the A:> prompt, remove the first disk and insert the second disk. 4. At the A:> prompt, type MFLASH and hit enter. The MegaRAID flash utility will start. 5. There will be prompts asking if this is the correct adapter, and the correct image. Say yes to both. 6. The firmware will flash. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
