LSI Logic Windows XP Signed Driver for MegaRAID Controllers Release date : 09/02/2004 Windows XP Name : MRaid35x.sys New Version # : 6.43.2 Summary of recent changes: ========================== 1. Added support for additional controllers in inf files. 2. During heavy I/O in the cluster environment, the driver used to stall the cpu for 3 min in a tight loop when it received the reset command from the OS. Due to this system used to freeze and cluster failover did not happen. This has been fixed. 3. If a logical drive is failed, driver did not expose it to the OS and this results in a mismatch in the logical drive mapping between OS and RAID Management utilities. This driver will expose the failed logical drive to the OS but complete the failed IO request to with proper status information. This will fix the mismatch issue. 4. If the Adapter is set to DEAD, all the IOCTLs send to the driver would be returned with a special signature 0xEE to identify that the adapter is DEAD and not responding. 5. The TimeOut Value in the Registry entry under Disk.sys has been increased to 60 secs from 40 secs to prevent Event ID 9. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
