1.) What should I do first when I encountered problems with
PNIC 10/100 Fast Ethernet Adapter card?

You may execute Diag.exe Diagnostics from Floppy drive or
Hard Disk drive to diagnose which problems or get more more
       detailed about adapter.

You may select <Alt> <CardInfo> to get the current media type.
You may get result 10 or100 Mbps, Half or Full Duplex if your
adapter, cable and hub are functionally working. Otherwise,
the correct media type won't display if your cable or this
particular port of hub has problems. Diag.exe can correctly
display the current media type on the fly that the other
       adapters can't provide.

2.) Is my PCI adapter " Novell and Microsoft Certified "?

Yes. You may select "DC21140 Based DEC PCI Ethernet Drivers" from
your built in Novell or Microsoft drivers.

3.) What interrupt is recommend to be use with PCI adapter?

If your PCI BIOS is greater or equal than 2.0, it supports
Plug and play. Then you shouldn't worry interupt. You only set
your PCI adapter's interrupt if your computer's BIOS didn't support
plug and play PCI. To do this you might have to set the jumper on
your computer's motherboard also set the interrupt in your computer's
PCI BIOS. Both places assign the PCI interrupt INTA to any
available ISA interrupt ( except interrupt 14 ).
Usually, software drivers get the interrupt and I/O port from BIOS
       functional call.

4.) Which one is the " mastering " slots in your PCI machine?

All the PCI slots supports PNIC 10/100 Fast Ethernet Adapter Bus
Master cards. Usually, they are WHITE.

5.) Is it necessary to configure my PCI adapter for my computer?

No, because PCI is self-configuring. Some PCI computers ISA or EISA
PCs require you manually configure your PNIC 10/100 Fast Ethernet
       Adapter.

6.) What interrupt is NOT to be use with my PCI adapter?

First, you don't really need to pay attention to the interrupt for this
adapter. Do NOT use interrrupt 14 with any PCI adapter except PCI IDE
adapter. Because ofthe backwards compatibility with IDE adapters, IRQ
14 can only be configured edge triggered interrupt. This stopped its
ablity to used shared interrupt ( shared interrupts require level
triggering ) and it makes interrupt a very poor PCI interrupt choice.

7.) Which is the best slot to used for my PCI adapter?

You have to put your PNIC 10/100 Fast Ethernet Adapter in a PCI
slot which supports Bus Mastering. This is very significant. The PCI
connectors in your machine are white. You may read your PC manual to
find out which slot supports Bus Master.

8.) How come my PCI driver will not load when EMM386.EXE is loaded?

Please upgrade EMM386.exe to version 4.49 if your EMM386 used
       an old version.

9.) What is the voltage on my PCI adapter?

       It is 5 volt.

10.) My PNIC 10/100 combo adapter that has all three connectors
(BNC,AUI,UTP) on the same adapter. How do I let the driver know which
       type that I am using.?

PNIC 10/100 Adapter Cards supports AUTODETECT capabilities
to use NWAY to automatically select 10MB or 100 MB, Half or Full
Duplex configurations. Normally, you do not have to specify which
cable type you are using with adapter.
