1.0 Overview
------------
To install PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card in the Client 32
for Windows 95 environment, you should have the Windows 95 CD-ROM
And the NOVELL Client 32 CD-ROM nearby.
2.0 Installation Notes for Client 32 for Windows 95 users
----------------------------------------------------------
2.1 Install PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card for the first time
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Start the Windows 95 system.
Note:
Don't insert your PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card
into a PC Card slot.
2. If you have installed PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card
NDIS3 driver. Do the following steps.
2.1 Double click on "My Computer" icon under desktop.
2.2 Double click on "Control Panel" icon under "My Computer"
window.
2.3 Double click on "Network" icon under "Control Panel"
window.
2.4 Select "PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Adapter" item and
click on [ Remove ] button. Click on [ OK ] button after
the adapter have been removed under "Network" window.
2.5 Click on [ No ] button under "System Settings Chagne"
window.
2.6 Please change the directory to C:\WINDOWS\INF
2.6.1 Click on [ Start ] button.
2.6.2 Select "Programs" -> "MS-DOS Prompt" item.
2.6.3 Type the following command.
C:\WINDOWS>cd inf
C:\WINDOWS\INF>del AX88190.INF
C:\WINDOWS\INF>exit
3. Run the Client 32 for Windows 95 installation program
using SETUP.EXE and accept the agreement.
Example:
Click "Start" -> "Programs" -> "Windows Explorer"
to find the Client 32 for Windows 95 SETUP.EXE.
Double click SETUP icon in <PATH>\WIN95 directory.
4. Check the box of "Upgrade NDIS drivers to ODI automatically,
if available" and press [ Start> ] button.
5. Click on [ Cancel ] button under "Select Device" window.
6. Click on [ Cancel ] button under "Select Device" window.
7. Click on [ Cancel ] button under "Select Device" window.
8. Click on [ Yes ] button under "Recommended NetWare Client 32
Properties" window.
9. Specify NetWare Preferred server name and First network drive
under "Novell NetWare Client 32 Properties" windos then click
on [ Yes ] button.
10. Click on [ OK ] button under "Installation Aborted" window.
11. Click on [ OK ] button under "Network" window.
12. Click on [ No ] button under "System Settings Change" window.
13. Please insert your PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card into
a PC Card slot.
14. Windows 95 system will find the Ethernet PC Card.
15. Select "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer"
item then click on [ OK ] button under "New Hardware Found"
window.
16. Please insert release driver disk into the CD-ROM drive.
17. Specify the full path of the driver under "Install From Disk"
window.
Example: E:\PCMCIA\NETWARE\CLIENT32
18. Click on [ Yes ] button under "System Settings Change" window
to reboot your Windows 95 system.
2.2 PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card Driver Reinstallation
------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Assume your Windows 95 and Client 32 for Windows 95 system
have been installed successfully.
2. Start the Windows 95 system.
Note:
Don't insert your PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card
into a PC Card slot.
3. If you have installed PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card
NDIS3 driver.
Do the following steps.
3.1 Double click on "My Computer" icon under desktop.
3.2 Double click on "Control Panel" icon under "My Computer"
window.
3.3 Double click on "Network" icon under "Control Panel"
window.
3.4 Select "PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Adapter" item and
click on [ Remove ] button. Click on [ OK ] button after
the adapter have been removed under "Network" window.
3.5 Click on [ No ] button under "System Settings Change"
window.
3.6 Please change the directory to C:\WINDOWS\INF
2.6.1 Click on [ Start ] button.
2.6.2 Select "Programs" -> "MS-DOS Prompt" item.
2.6.3 Type the following command.
C:\WINDOWS>cd inf
C:\WINDOWS\INF>del AX88190.INF
C:\WINDOWS\INF>exit
4. Please insert PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card into
a PC Card slot.
5. Windows 95 system will find the PC Card.
6. Select "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer"
item then click on [ OK ] button under "New Hardware Found"
window.
7. Please insert release driver disk into the CD-ROM drive.
8. Specify the full path of the driver under "Install From Disk"
window.
Example: E:\PCMCIA\NETWARE\CLIENT32
9. Click on [ Yes ] button under "System Settings Change" window
to reboot your Windows 95 system.
3.0 Installation Notes for Client 32 for DOSWIN users

Notes: The PC Card should be enabled by Card services.
Please run EN190.EXE before starting Client 32 for DOSWIN.
Content of CONFIG.SYS

Add below two lines to the CONFIG.SYS file
DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS X=D000-D7FF
DEVICE=<PATH\EN190.EXE /irq=11 /iop=300
; <PATH> is a directory that includes the EN190.EXE file.
; Please refer to the "About PCMCIA" section in README file
for details.
3.1 Windows 3.x Users
----------------------
1. Start Windows 3.x system
2. Run the Client 32 for DOSWIN installation program, using SETUP.EXE
Example: >CD \<PATH> ; <PATH> is Client 32 for DOSWIN
>SETUP.EXE
or
Double click SETUP.EXE in Files Manager windows
3. Press ENTER to accept the agreement.
4. Specify your target directory.
Example: C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32 ; If you had chosen the C drive.
5. Click "Other Boards..."
6. Please insert release driver diske into the CD-ROM drive.
7. Specify the full path of the driver, i.e. E:\<PATH>.
Example: E:\PCMCIA\NETWARE\CLIENT32\AX88190.LAN
8. Select "PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card".
9. Specify your configuration for Additional Optional window
then click "Next>" to continue.
10. Restart your workstation, click "NetWare Login" to login to the
NetWare server from NetWare Tools.
3.2 DOS Users
--------------------
1. Run the Client 32 for DOSWIN installation program, using
INSTALL.EXE.
Example: >CD \<PATH> ; <PATH> is Client 32 for DOSWIN
>INSTALL.EXE
2. Press ENTER or YES to accept the agreement.
3. Select "NetWare Client 32 for DOS".
4. Use default value in Customize Support for Windows
if you Select "NetWare Client 32 for Windows", as well.
5. Press "F10" to continue.
6. Select "32-bit LAN drivers" from LAN Driver Type window.
7. Select "USER SPECIFIED 32 BIT DRIVER".
8. Please insert release driver disk into the CD-ROM drive.
9. Specify the full path of the driver, i.e. E:\<PATH>.
Example: E:\PCMCIA\NETWARE\CLIENT32
10. Select "PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card" from
32-Bit Network Board Drivers window.
11. Specify "Connection Type", "Driver Retries", "Frame Type"
"Node Address" setting, then press "F10" to save.
Example: Default value is as below
Frame Type is Ethernet_802.2
Slot is 1
12. Press "F10" to continue in Installation Configuration Summary
window, if you accept.
13. AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS will be update after installation.
14. Restart your workstation and load the NetWare networking
software; it will connect to the Netware server.
4.0 Configuring LAN Adapter's Media Type and
Installing Multiple LAN Adapters
4.1
Configuring LAN Adapter's Media Type:
---------------------------------
The keyword "AUTOSENSE" is provided for LAN adapter to auto detect
the speed and the duplex mode.
For example:
LOAD C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\AX88190.LAN AUTOSENSE
The keyword "S100" is provided for user to force the media to
100BASE-TX HALF DUPLEX mode.
For example:
LOAD C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\AX88190.LAN S100
The keyword "S10" is provided for user to force the media to
10BASE-T HALF DUPLEX mode.
For example:
LOAD C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\AX88190.LAN S10

Installing Multiple LAN Adapters:
---------------------------------
The keyword "SLOT" is provided for multiple LAN adapters in a
single server by the driver LNAX100.LAN. So, add "SLOT" in LOAD
commands. For example:
C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\NIOS.EXE
LOAD LSLC32.NLM
LOAD CMSM.NLM
LOAD ETHERTSM.NLM
LOAD AX88190 FRAME=Ethernet_802.2 SLOT=1
LOAD AX88190 FRAME=Ethernet_802.2 SLOT=2

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
