Directory Compare Version 1.0

Introduction:

   Directory Compare is a Windows utility that compares the files
   in two directories based on file:
      o name
      o last modified date and time and
      o size

   It also allows you to:
      o copy files from one directory to another
      o delete files in a directory
      o open files in a directory using their default application
      o print directory differences
      o copy the directory information to the clipboard
        (where you could edit it with an editor like Notepad).

   This allows you to easily get two directories (such as production and
   development) "in synch".

   Files in the selected directories are listed in two side-by-side grids.
   You can choose various display filters to limit the listing to files
   existing in both directories, files which exist in one directory only,
   or files in both directories with a different size or date/time. Once
   displayed, files can be easily selected either individually or in groups
   and then copied, moved or deleted.

Installation:

   To install Directory Compare all you have to do is:

   1. Download the software from: http://www.vermontsoftware.com/DirectoryCompare/DC.zip
   2. Unzip it (get WinZip if you don't have it already).
   3. Find setup.exe in whatever directory you unzipped the software into.
   4. Double click on setup.exe and follow the installation instructions.

   License Cost and Restrictions:

   1. Directory Compare costs $15 per license.
   2. The license entitles one person to use this program on up to
      2 PC's (i.e. home and work).
   3. After you make payment, a license key will be email'd to you
      so it is very important for you to supply your email
      address with payment.

   The preferred method of payment is paypal, but you can also send a check or
   money order. There are no manuals and no software disks - you download the
   software from the web.

   A license key will be emailed to you that will let you use your software.
