RoamAbout Client Utilities Version 1.30

This README.TXT covers information that was not yet known
or available when the user documentation shipped with this
was written. This text file includes update information,
additional installation instructions, limitations to the
current version of the product, and suggestions to solve
known issues or problems.

1. SOFTWARE DESCRIPTION
1.1 Description
This software contains the RoamAbout 802.11 Client
Utility program and associated helpfiles for installation
on Windows 95/98 and Windows NT 4.0 Operating
systems
1.2 Files Installed
The following files will be installed in the selected
installation directory during setup:
RMABT_CL.EXE (RoamAbout Client Utility Executable)
RMABT_CL.HLP (RoamAbout Client Utility Help File)
RMABT_CL.CNT (RoamAbout Client Utility Help Contents File)

2. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
2.1 Operating System
The software and/or drivers provided on the diskettes
can be installed on the following operating systems:
* Windows 95/98 and Windows NT version 4.0 or higher.
To install the software on your computer, select the
diskette for Windows 95/98 and Windows NT, and double-
click the file 'utils\setup.exe'.
2.2 Free Disk Space
To install and run the software you will need 2 MB
of free disk space.
2.3 Additional Requirements
To install/run the RoamAbout Client Utility, you will
need a computing device that:
* Has the RoamAbout Driver installed
If your computer does not have the correct driver
installed, the RoamAbout Client utility will not work.
In that case, you will see a pop-up error message
that reads 'DRIVER NOT FOUND' and will prompt you
to (re)-install the correct RoamAbout Miniport Driver.
Note: Miniport Drivers are designed to run under the
Microsoft Windows 95/98 and Windows NT Operating
Systems.

3. INSTALLATION NOTES
3.1 Standard Installation
Installation procedures are described in the 'RoamAbout
Quick Start Guide' or 'User's Guide' that came with your
RoamAbout product. Please refer to these documents for
information about installing and configuring your
RoamAbout product.
RoamAbout User documentation is also available in
electronic format on the RoamAbout Web Site

4. NEW FEATURE IN THIS RELEASE
4.1 RoamAbout Client Utility Site Monitor.
This function has been implemented in conjunction with
NDIS driver V1.38.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
