RoamAbout 802.11a/b/g Client PC Card Driver Kit     Version 1.03

The RoamAbout 802.11a/b/g Client PC Card Kit CD contains the PC Card
driver and Configuration Utility for Windows. This driver and utility 
supports the RoamAbout 802.11a/b/g Client PC Card in an 802.11a/b/g 
wireless client. 

The versions are as follows:
o  RoamAbout 802.11a/b/g Client PC Card Driver V2.4.2.33
o  RoamAbout 802.11a/b/g Client PC Card Configuration 
   Utility V1.4.1.23

The installation program adds a Program Group called "RoamAbout".  
This driver version puts the selection RoamAbout in your Start Bar.

NEW IN THIS RELEASE (Kit v1.03)

o Japanese font problems that were present in the RoamAbout 
  802.11a/b/g Client PC Card Driver Kit V1.02, Client Utility 
  V1.4.1.15, are now resolved. 

o The clear text password problem is resolved. The password is 
  now hidden.
o Added built-in 802.1x supplicant support for Windows 98 and 
  Windows Me.
o Fixed the problem when running WPA-PSK on Win 2K systems, where 
  the WPA pre-shared key was removed after going into hibernation, 
  standby or if shutdown.

The V1.02 release of the RoamAbout 802.11a/b/g Client PC Card Kit 
corrects a problem with setting the security to None when installed 
on a Windows XP client using the WPA patch (SP2).

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
