               SiS 900/7016 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter Installation 
                              for NDIS 2.0 Driver

(1) OS/2 installation instructions.

    1. On OS/2 desktop, double-click "OS/2 system" icon.
    2. Double-click "System setup" icon.
    3. Double-click "MPTS" icon.
    4. Click "OK" to enter MPTS.
    5. Select "Configure".
    6. Select "LAN adapter & protocol" and click "configure".
    7. Click "Other Adapters".
    8. Insert "SiS PCI Fast Ethernet Aapter Drivers Disk" into driver
       A: and specifies correct path. Ex: A:\NDIS2\OS2.
    9. In "Network Adapters" menu, Select "SiS 900/7016 PCI Fast Ethernet
       Adapter".
    10. Add protocols you need.
    11. Click "OK"
    12. Click "Close"
    13. Click "Exit"
    14. System will update CONFIG.SYS for you. Click "Exit".
    15. Click "OK"
    16. Click "EXIT" to quit MPTS.
    17. Restart your computer.
 

(2) Optional Parameters
-----------------------

    Adapter number - This parameter specifies the adapter number used for
                     notifications.
 
    MEDIATYPE      - This parameter specifies the media type currently used.
                     If MEDIATYPE does not specified, it will auto detect the
                     media type.

                     Parameters List:
                       AUTO       -- Auto-select media type.
                       UTP        -- 10BaseT half duplex mode.
                       UTPFULL    -- 10BaseT full duplex mode.
                       FAST       -- 100BaseT half duplex mode.
                       FASTFULL   -- 100BaseT full duplex mode.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
