ND4300 PCI Ethernet Adapter
NDIS Driver for IBM OS/2 LAN Server 2.0 Server Installation

     Location of Driver:  \NDIS.OS2\ND4300.OS2  (for OS/2 LAN Server)

1)  Copy ND4300.OS2 and ND4300.NIF files from "ND4300 PCI Driver diskette"
    (\NDIS.OS2) to C:\IBMCOM\MACS.

2)  Click the OS/2 LAN Service icon.

3)  Select "Installation  and  configuration".  The IBM logo should
    appear onscreen.

4)  Click <OK>.

5)  Select <Advance> and press <Enter>.

6)  Select "Install or Configuration this Workstation."

7)  Select server type, adding a server or domain controller.  The
    "install or remove" selections should appear.

8)  Select "Configure a component."

9)  Click the "Configure" button.

10) Select "Configure workstation."

11) Select "ND4300 PCI Ethernet adapter" when prompted 
    to identify your Network Adapter. Then click the <Add> button.

12) Select IBM OS/2 NETBIOS and IBM IEEE 802.2 protocols from the list
    and click the <Add> button.

13) Select <OK> to confirm all selections.

14) Follow screen instructions to complete the process, selecting
    <OK> to accept default selections.

15) Continue pressing <OK> until your screen prompts you to backup
    old  CONFIG.SYS and  AUTOEXEC.BAT and create a new  CONFIG.SYS
    and AUTOEXEC.BAT. Also select <OK> to confirm this.

16) Installation is complete now. Reset your PC by turning it off
    and on.



ND4300 PCI Ethernet Adapter
NDIS Driver for IBM OS/2 LAN Server 3.0 Server Installation

     Location of Driver:  \NDIS.OS2\ND4300.OS2  (for OS/2 LAN Server)

1. Installion

   1) Install the ND4300 PCI Ethernet Adapter on your PC system, following 
      the procedure to install IBM LAN Server.

   2) Install your LAN Server network system on your hard disk.

   3) At the C:\IBMCOM prompt, type "LAPS" and press <Enter>

   4) Select "Install" and insert the Distribution Diskette that includes
      the NDIS driver for IBM LAN Server 3.x to any floppy drive, e.g.,
      A:, to install the driver.

   5) When prompted to specify the source of the network information file
      (.NIF files) for the adapter drivers you want to install, type
      "A:\NDIS.OS2" and select OK.

   6) When the Insatllation Complete window appears, select OK.


2. Configuration

   1) When the main screen appears, select "Configure".

   2) When the Configuration windows is displayed, select "Continue",
      then the Configure workstation windows will appear.

   3) Select "ND4300 PCI Ethernet Adapter" when prompted to identify
      your Network Adapters. Then click the <Add> button.

   4) Select IBM OS/2 NETBIOS and IBM IEEE 802.2 protocols from the list
      and click the <Add> button.

   5) Select OK to save changes, or select Cancel to exit without saving.

   6) Select OK to return to the main menu.

   7) Select Exit to exit. The configuration utility will update your
      CONFIG.SYS automatically. Follow screen instructions to complete
      the process.

   8) Installation is complete now. Reset your PC by turning it off
      and on.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
