NDIS Driver for Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.10 Installation

The Card comes with NDCGO, this program provides a fast way to
install Windows for Workgroups. We recommend you run NDCGO to install
Windows for Workgroups by selecting the Windows for Workgroups option.
Otherwise, follow the procedure below to complete the installation
manually.


PRE-INSTALLATION

     Before installing the NOS or network applications, you should first
     run NDCONF1 to configure and diagnose the SOHOware PCMCIA adapter(s).
     We recommend you to select "Update CONFIG.SYS" in the "Configuration
     Menu" before exiting NDCONF1.


INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1)   Start Windows by typing in "WIN".

2)   Select the "Control Panel" icon in Main, group in Windows.

3)   Select the "Network" icon.

4)   Select the "Adapters" item in "Option" dialog.

5)   Push <Add> button.

6)   Select the adapter, "NE2000 Compatible".

7)   WFWG may ask you to insert a floppy disk. Insert the specified
     Driver Disk in the specified drive, and press <Enter>. You
     should then see the "NE2000 Compatible" screen.

8)   Set the values of "Interrupt (IRQ)" and "Base I/O Port (hex)"
     Must match settings specified in NDCONF1.

9)   Press <OK>.

10)  Press <Close>.

11)  Press <OK> twice.

12)  Restart computer.

3)   Select the "Drivers" item.

4)   Select the "Add Adapter" item.

5)   Select "NE2000 Compatible" from "Add Network Adapter" window
     and click "OK".

6)   Select the "Setup" item and set the "Interrupt (IRQ)" and "Base
     I/O Port (hex)".  Must match the settings you specified in
     NDCONF1.

7)   Select the protocol used by the rest of your network and make
     sure it is set as the "Default Protocol".

8)   Press <Close>.

9)   Press <OK>.

10)  WFWG may ask you to insert a few WFWG disks. Insert the
     specified WFWG disks in the specified drive to copy some new
     files.

11)  Restart computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
