It gives you the ability to view, on screen, your plotted CAD drawings before sending them to the plotter. See, on screen, what the final plotted drawing will look like before it is plotted. You no longer need to plot a drawing only to find out it wasn't what you wanted. ViewPlot allows long axis drawings to be plotted. You will see your long axis drawings, on screen, exactly as they will be plotted. Make plots as long as your plotter can handle and be assured they will turn out exactly as you see them with ViewPlot. ViewPlot handles batch processing of drawing files. No longer do you need to plot one drawing at a time. With ViewPlot, you can setup and prepare up to 50 sheets (each sheet can have 10 drawings) to be AUTOMATICALLY sent to your plotter. If your plotter has roll feed capability, each time a sheet is completed, the plotter will advance the paper and begin the next sheet. The Windows version of ViewPlot allows you to start up a plotting session and switch it to the background, then you can continue to work with your CAD software while the drawing is being plotted. ViewPlot handles communication to the plotter over serial as well as parallel lines (for maximum plotting speed). If using a serial line, you can connect at a baud rate up to 38400 and use HARDWIRE or XON/XOFF handshaking. ViewPlot supports output to Amdek, DM/PL, HPGL, HPGL2 or PCI/907 (Calcomp). All Hewlett Packard, Houston Instruments and all compatible plotters (which comprises most of the plotters being used) can be used with the program. Houston Instruments plotters use DM/PL plotter codes (some HI plotters use HPGL) and Calcomp plotters use 907/PCI codes (newer Calcomp plotters use HPGL). All features in ViewPlot are configurable to your particular plotter, computer and personal preferences. You can quickly change any configuration setting within the program. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
