The program "kdecode.exe" analyzes the CCRF commands and data for CalComp's
series of large-format raster plotters, such as the DrawingMaster-Plus direct
thermal plotters, and the monochrome and color electrostatic plotters. This
program will perform a syntactic and semantic analysis of the data, and issue
error messages for any violations it finds. This program only analyzes the
correctness of the data format; it does not evaluate the quality of the plotted
raster image.
The program is invoked from the system prompt as follows:
kdecode [-v] pathname
where:
kdecode = the name of the program
-v = optional flag to specify verbose mode (shows each command)
pathname = filename of the raster graphics data
Entering the command "kdecode" with no parameters shows the command usage.
If the "verbose" option is specified, a prompt is displayed to allow you to
specify the CCRF command number at which to begin verbose mode. Enter a value
of "0" to produce a vebose interpretation of the entire file.
Output is produced to the screen by default, although it can be redirected to
a file on disk by entering the following command:
kdecode [-v] pathname > filename
If the verbose option is specified, the prompt is not redirected to the file.
The following sample CCRF data files are provided with this kit:
SAMPLE.CRF - four color raster data for a color electrostatic plotter
INKJET.CRF - four color raster data for a color inkjet plotter
