Procedure to upgrade the TechJET Designer 720c firmware ========================================================= 1. Turn off the plotter. 2. Press and hold the "<" and ">" keys and power on the plotter. 3. Plotter should display "Awaiting download file". 4. Send 720c_180.FRC to the plotter parallel port (use COPY /B). Such as "COPY 720C_180.FRC LPT1: /B" 5. Plotter should display "Downloading ...", then display " 1.80 Press ONLINE key". 6. If you do want to update the FLASH, Press ONLINE key then you will see "0 Erasing Block:...34567" and "Programming Block: 34567". 7. When the plotter has successfully updated the FLASH, the control panel will display "ONLINE" or media loading message. 8. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
