Introduction:

This document describes the procedure to install Windows 95OSR2
driver for VIA VT6105 Rhine III Fast Ethernet Adapter.

Installing driver procedure on Microsoft Windows 95OSR2 :
---------------------------------------------------------
Before you start with the installation process, make sure that your
adapter should be properly installed in your PCI bus slot.
Executing Windows 95OSR2, it will auto-detect your system configuration
and find the adapter hardware. ( If Win95OSR2 does not prompt that it
detects the PCI Ethernet adapter,there must be something wrong with
the VIA VT6105 PCI Fast Ethernet adapter or your system enviroment.)
1. Windows 95OSR2 will prompt with "PCI Ethernet Controller" in the "New
Hardware Found" dialog box.
2. Select "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer" from
the "New Hardware Found" dialog box, then click the OK button.
3. Insert the Driver Diskette in your floppy drive.
4. Enter the driver pathname "A:\", then click the OK
button in the "Install from Disk" dialog box.
5. Follow the screen's prompt to insert the "Windows 95OSR2 CD-ROM"
and click the OK button in the "Insert Disk" dialog box.
6. Otherwise enter the full pathname of the "Windows 95OSR2 CD-ROM"
installation files in the "Copying Files..." dialog box,
then click the OK button.
7. Windows 95OSR2 will copy the driver (.SYS) from A:\ to
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory and the driver (.INF) from
A:\ to C:\WINDOWS\INF directory.
8. Restart your computer to initialize the network function.

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
