The driver (EL910N5.SYS) contained in the root is for the 
following 3Com Ethernet adapter:

  3Com OfficeConnect 10/100 Network Interface Card 
     (3CSOHO100B-TX)

The driver (EL910N5.SYS) conforms to the Network Driver 
Interface Specification NDIS5, and is used with Microsoft 
Windows Millennium, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

(A) Installing the driver on Microsoft Windows 2000
============================================================
   
1. Plug 3Com's 3CSOHO100B-TX series adapter into one of the 
       Master PCI slots of your computer.
2. Turn the power ON, then boot from Windows 2000.
3. When Windows 2000 prompts with "Ethernet Controller" in
       "New Hardware Found" dialog box, click the "Next" button.
4. Select "Search for the best driver for your device 
       (Recommended)"from the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog 
       box, then click the "Next" button.
5. Insert the 3Com Driver CD in your CD-ROM drive.
6. Select "Specify a location" and type Path "D:\" (where 
       "D" is your CD-ROM drive) in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" 
       dialog box, then click the "Next" button.
7. Click the "Next" button in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" 
       dialog box.
8. Windows 2000 will prompt with "3Com OfficeConnect 10/100 
       Network Interface Card" in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" 
       dialog box.
9. Click the "Next" button in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" 
       dialog box.
10. When Windows prompts with "3Com OfficeConnect 10/100 
       Network Interface Card" in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" 
       dialog box, click the "Finish" button.
11. Restart your computer to initialize the network function.


(B) Configuring the driver on Microsoft Windows 2000
===============================================================

1. Click the "My Computer" icon in the Main Program Group.
2. Click the "Control Panel" icon in the My Computer window.
3. Click the "Network" icon in the Control Panel window.
4. Select the "3Com OfficeConnect 10/100 Network Interface 
       Card" item from the "Network" dialog box, then click the 
       "Properties" button.
5. Click the "Advanced" button in the "3Com OfficeConnect 
       10/100 Network Interface Card Properties" dialog box.
6. There are several features you can configure. For example, 
       select the Line Speed value (Auto,100full,100half,10full,
       10half) for the "Value" item, then click the OK button in 
       the "3Com OfficeConnect 10/100 Network Interface Card 
       Properties" Dialog box.
7. Click the OK button in the "Network" dialog box.
8. Restart your computer to implement the new configuration.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
