WIN95.TXT Driver File Contents (AOC.ZIP)

Please note that monitor drivers do not control the number of colors
you can display in Windows.  They only enable Windows to recognize
the maximum resolution and refresh rate of your monitor.  If you
are having problems displaying more than 16 colors in Windows, you
need to install a driver for your Video card.  Contact your Video
card or Computer maker for help.

Installing Monitor Driver For Windows95 From INF file

(AOC does not have an INF file for older models)

If you own an older AOC monitor, contact AOC and
ask for a Standard Driver that would work with
your monitor and follow Procedure 2.

Procedure 1 (Installing Fron An INF File)
1.	Open CONTROL PANEL
2.	Double click DISPLAY icon
3.	Select SETTINGS
4.	Click CHANGE DISPLAY TYPE or ADVANCED PROPERTIES
5.	Select MONITOR & Click CHANGE
6.	Click HAVE DISK
7.	Enter "C:\EPI" in the space provided.
8.	Click OK
9.	
10.	Double click your monitor's model number
11.	Click OK and then Click CLOSE

Procedure 2 (Installing a Standard Monitor driver)
1.	Follow steps 1 - 5 above
2.	Select SHOW ALL DEVICES
3.	Go to the top of the MANUFACTURER'S list
4.	Select STANDARD MONITOR TYPES
5.	Under MODELS, select the one that matches
	the maximum resolution of your monitor.  Contact
	AOC if you don't the maximum resolution of your monitor.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
