Windows 3.0 Driver Installation Instructions NOTE: These instructions assume that you have installed Windows 3.0 in the default directory \WINDOWS and that you will be using the VGA utility disk in the A: drive - if necessary substitute your own directory name or drive reference where appropriate below. 1. Firstly, install Windows for use with the automatically selected standard VGA screen and verify that Windows is operating correctly. 2. Exit Windows and enter the following at the DOS prompt: CD \WINDOWS\SYSTEM 3. Now put the VGA Utility Disk in drive A: and enter the following: COPY A:\WIN30\*.* 4. Start Windows again and select the Windows Setup icon, which is placed in the "Main" group by Windows. 5. Select the "Options" menu, and from the menu now displayed select "Change System Settings". 6. From the dialogue box now displayed you may select the required resolution from the Tseng chipset options shown, provided your card can support it - verify with the table below. Certain selections may require you to insert one or more of the Windows installation disks, so have them ready. 7. When installation is completed you may restart Windows or reboot the machine, as required. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
