		Part 1 		Quick Install
====================================================================

1.      Connect / Install the modem, ensure that power is on and serial
	cable (for External models) is connected.
	For Internal V.90 and 33.6 PnP modems, ensure that the modem is 
	installed and ensure that the PnP setting is ENABLED.
Note*** The jumper settings are silkscreened on the Internal modems.

2.      Re-start Win95/98
	Insert the driver disk in drive a:.  

*******	NON PLUG-N-PLAY
	For all older modems that do not support PnP, click START, Settings, 
	Control Panel, Modems. Then click the Add button.  Do not check 
	the "Dont detect my modem" (Default)
	For non PnP Internal modems, be sure to add a comm port to your
	Win95 system (Control Panel, Add Hardware, Comm Port).  Windows
	will allocate the next available comm port to your system.  ENSURE
	THAT YOUR MODEM IS SET-UP TO THE SAME SETTINGS AS YOUR NEW COMM
	PORT, I.E. IRQ AND MEMORY ADDRESS.

*******	PLUG-N-PLAY
	Your PC will display "New Hardware Found" and search for the driver
	disk.  Click "OK" when prompted.

3.      Depending on the version of Windows 95/98, when prompted, select 
	"Driver from disk provided by Hardware..." or click the "Have 
	Disk" button, or click the "Next" button for searching drives for
	supplied drivers.

4.      When installing Voice modems, you will be prompted for another
	driver - the wave driver, which is on the same disk.

5.      From there on, click Finish, and that's it!

		Part 2		Update Driver

If you are updating an earlier driver, proceed as follows:

1.	Insert the disk containing the new drivers.

2.	Click "Start", "Settings", "Control Panel".

3.	Double click "System", then select the "Device Manager" tab. Ensure
	that the button "View devices by type" has been selected.
	Find the modem branch, highlight the Duxbury xxxxx modem and click
	on the Properties button.

4.	Select the "Driver" tab, and click the "Update driver" button.

5.	Select "Yes" (default) and click "Next".  follow instructions from 
	there.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
