Instructions for using the Setup and Configuration Utilities for the CMD DMA IDE drivers for Windows 95 1. Place the installation files on a floppy diskette. Make sure all of the files are in the same directory. 2. Press the "Start" button on the Windows 95 status bar. 3. Select "Run...". 4. Enter "Setup /o" with the full path of the installation files. for example, if the installation files are in the root directory of A drive, then type "A:\setup /o". 5. After the program runs, it will ask you for whether you wish to continue the installation of the driver. Make sure the driver version is V1.18 or later. Select "Yes" to continue. 6. The screen will display messages of what the installer is currently doing. Depending on the speed of the processor and the speed of the hard drive, the message may pause a short while at "Saving the Windows 95 registry." Do not panic. Simply wait a few more seconds and the program should continue. 7. After all of the files are copied, the program will ask you if you wish to restart. Answer "Yes" and the computer will reboot. 8. After the computer reboots, Windows 95 will claim that it found new devices. Simply answer "NO" every time it askes you to reboot. 9. When Windows 95 finishes installing the new devices, there should be a message "The system is rebooting for the driver parameters to take effect." The system will then reboot. 10.After the computer reboots, the driver is then installed.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
