AutoCAD/386 Rel 10/11, AutoShade 2.0, 3D Studio
===============================================
RCPTVGA.EXP is a combined display interface and rendering
driver. All extended resolutions are available(640x480-256,
800x600-16/256, 1024x768-16/256).
The color numbering scheme for 16-color modes (15 colors plus
black) is:
1 - Red 8 - Dark grey
2 - Yellow 9 - Low intensity red
3 - Green 10 - Low intensity yellow
4 - Cyan 11 - Low intensity green
5 - Blue 12 - Low intensity cyan
6 - Magenta 13 - Low intensity blue
7 - White 14 - Low intensity magenta
15 - Light grey
The color numbering scheme for 256 color modes matches that
defined in the AutoCAD/386 Installation and Performance Guide
for IBM's 8514/AI adapter. Refer to the IBM Video Graphics
Array Video Option in the Installation and Performance Guide
for more detailed information on color select prompts for 16
color and 256 color modes.
IMPORTANT: The AutoCAD/386 drivers may also be used with Auto-
shade 2.0 and 3D Studio. For Autoshade 2.0 use the following
set commands in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file:
SET DSPADI = RCPTVGA
SET RDPADI = RCPTVGA
For 3D Studio use the following set command in your AUTOEXEC.
BAT file:
SET RCPADI = (location of 3D Studio on hard drive)\RCPTVGA
Consult your Autoshade 2.0 and 3D Studio manuals for additional
information on how to configure these programs for RCPADI
drivers.
CRTC Modification Program TVGACRTC.*
=========================
This program is designed to adjust CRTC parameters so that the
image displayed will be optimally sized and centered on the
screen.
Adjustable parameters include horizontal position and size,
vertical position and size ( the vertical size can only be
adjusted very little because most monitors control vertical
size ), and pixel frequency.
Before you use this program, please use MODETEST to verify
your monitor can display a given mode. If your moitor display
is adequately sized and centered with the default BIOS CRTC
parameters then you need not use this program.
A list of monitors with preprogramed CRTC parameters is provided.
If your monitor is not listed, you will need to create your own
listing.
PMFIX PROGRAM
===============
PMFIX is designed to work with OS/2 presentation manager. If
you run OS/2 PM in standard VGA mode on the TVGA 8900/9000
board, you might see a white blank area at the top of the screen
when you swap screens between PM and full screen OS/2. This
program corrects the problem. After you enter the program:
Press 'Y' to run the program,
or 'N' to return to the DOS screen.
To execute this program automatically, add it into your
C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT file in the following format:
PMFIX -Y
NOTE:
You have to enter the DOS screen once to activate AUTOEXEC.BAT.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
For more help, visit our Driver Support section for step-by-step videos on how to install drivers for every file type.
