README.TXT Driver File Contents (es058_5.exe)

The EISA Configuration Utility (ECU) is to be used when adding or removing
EISA cards from this system. Use of the ECU is optional (but recomended)
when adding ISA add-in cards. Refer to the "Learn about Configuring Your
Computer" section in the main menu for general information on the ECU.

The ECU for this product allows the user to change all options provided in
ROM based setup as well as extended options available only through the ECU.
Help is available (F1 key) at each phase of the configuration process to aid
in system board option selections.

The system should be re-configured after upgrading the FLASH BIOS. The
ECU disk contains the required system overlay (*.OVL) files compatible
with FLASH BIOS version 1.00 01.

The system should be re-configured after adding (or deleting) SIMM memory.
The ECU will correctly initialize the memory detected upon bootup and
insure the extended memory seen above 1MB is cachable.

The color logo can be customized by the user with standard .PCX graphic
packages. The logo image must be named "logo.pcx" for the ECU to display
this image upon boot-up.

WARNING: Do not use Extended/Expanded memory managers with the ECU. The
HIMEM.SYS memory manager is the only approved manager for use with the
ECU. When executing the ECU, disable all other memory managers.
