Introduction

This manual describes precautions and limitations relating to the use of the Panasonic IC Recorder RR-US Series. Please read the manual thoroughly before using the product.

Proper operations on systems running Windows 95 R2 are not guaranteed.
Proper operations on systems running a Macintosh operating system are not guaranteed.

Installation Procedures


1 Installing the driver on Windows 98SE systems 

(1) Connect the IC recorder and PC with a USB cable.
(2) The "Add New Hardware Wizard" screen appears. Click "Next".
(3) Select "Search for suitable driver for my device", then click "Next".
(4) Insert the CD-ROM provided with this product in your PC's CD-ROM drive pressing the Shift key. Select [Specify a location] and enter the path and the drive name, then click "Next".
(ex. When the CD drive is "D", enter "D:\driver")
(5) Follow the instructions on the screen. The required driver will be automatically installed. 

2 Installing the driver on Windows Me systems 

(1) Connect the IC recorder and PC with a USB cable.
(2) The "Add New Hardware Wizard" screen appears. 
(3) Insert the CD-ROM provided with this product in your PC's CD-ROM drive pressing the Shift key.
(4) The required driver will be automatically installed.

3 Installing the driver on Windows 2000 systems 
    
(1) Connect the IC recorder and PC with a USB cable.
(2) The "Found New Hardware Wizard" screen appears. Click "Next".
(3) Select "Search for suitable driver for my device", then click "Next".
(4) Insert the CD-ROM provided with this product in your PC's CD-ROM drive pressing the Shift key. Select "CD-ROM", then click "Next".
(5) Follow the instructions on the screen. The required driver will be automatically installed.

4 Installing the driver on Windows XP systems 
(1) Connect the IC recorder to the USB cable, then connect the cable to the USB port on your PC. 
(2) The "Found New Hardware Wizard" screen appears. 
(3) Insert the CD-ROM provided with this product in your PC's CD-ROM drive pressing the Shift key. 
(4) The required driver will be automatically installed.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
