Readme File for Dane-Elec zMate Pen2 USB 2.0 =============================================================== * Formatting zMate Pen USB 2.0 Using the included tool you can easily format zMate Pen USB 2.0. Simply insert your zMate Pen USB2.0 into one USB port on your system, then choose Start=> Programs=>Dane Elec=>zMate Pen2=>Format zMate Pen 2.0. * Write Protect On the side of your new zMate Pen USB2.0 you can find a two position switch, which will enable or disable write protect to the zMate Pen USB2.0. When switch is in protect position you will not be able to delete or write file to zMate Pen USB2.0. This will prevent accidental erase of your important data. Please note each time you change this switch setting you need to unplug and plug zMate Pen USB2.0 for new setting to take effect. * Security feature Your new zMate Pen USB2.0 came with security feature. When formatting zMate Pen2 using included formatting tool (as described above), you can choose "enable password". This will enable password protection for your zMate Pen USB2.0. You will be given a default password after format but you can always change it later. You must enter correct password in order to access zMate Pen USB2.0. In addition, after you activate this security feature, zMate Pen USB2.0 can not be formatted by the system. You will need to use the same tool to format again to delete this feature and password. Please note, by doing so you will also erase all data in zMate Pen USB2.0.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
