Before Starting:
Before installing BUSlink SOHO PROXY TM, you must have a working Internet Connection on one of your computers. 

The computer directly connected to the Internet will act as a host that can have Windows98/Me/2000/XP installed.

Also make sure that BUSlink USB LAN Card is not installed on any of your computers.  In case BUSlink USB LAN Card is installed, Click Start. Click Settings. Open Control Panel. Open Add/Remove Programs.  Uninstall BUSlink USB Hardware.  After uninstalling you would need to restart your computer.  Make sure that you BUSlink USB Hardware is NOT connected to your PC.

To Installation program will start automatically as soon as you insert the CD in your CD ROM drive.  In case the program fails to start automatically, follow these steps: Click on the Start menu, Click Run and Enter "X:\Setup.exe".  Note: X is the drive for your CD-ROM.

BUSlink Installation Program Software Components:
The Installation Program Software will install the following Components:
1.BUSlink SOHO PROXYTM.
2.BUSlink USB Drivers.
3.Windows Network.
4.Set your computer’s IP Address.
5.Activate File and Printer Sharing.
6.Update Agent.

The following definitions may help you understand BUSlink Installation Program better:

Update Agent:  BUSlink Installation Program is equipped with an automatic Update Agent.  The Update Agent will check for any software updates and update software as required.

BUSlink SOHO PROXYTM:  Is an Internet Connection Sharing Software.  It allows you to share one Internet connection with all the machines on your network.  By running BUSlink SOHO PROXYTM on the machine that has an Internet connection (the host machine), and setting all the other machines to use a proxy, you can browse the web from them, just like from the machine actually connected. BUSlink SOHO PROXYTM is installed when you run the Installation Program Software.

Processor/Memory: 90MHz Pentium PC, 32MB RAM
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 95/98/2000/Me/XP.
Disk Space: 20 MB of free space.
Network Interface Card: Any Windows 95/98/2000/Me/XP -compatible Network Interface Card or equivalent device.
Internet Connection: Dial-Up Adapter or Second Network Interface Card

Internet Service: One user account through an Internet service provider

Networks Supported: Any LAN, including Windows 95/98/2000/Me/XP built-in networking.

Internet Connection Types: Any TCP/IP connection, including modem, cable modem, xDSL, ISDN, wireless, satellite.

Upgrade Options
The Standard Version of the BUSlink SOHO PROXY allows machines with IP Address 192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3 to browse the Internet. How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
