The CardSoft utilities are supplied by SytemSoft and are
also supplied as Compaq utilities on Compaq portable PC's.
To use the PCMCIA Ethernet Fax/Modem card with
the CardSoft software requires the LanModem.CLB file to be used
by the CARDID client.
Getting Started
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
Copy across the LanModem.CLB file:
copy (FROM) a:\pcmcia\cardsoft\lanmodem.clb
(TO) c:\cardsoft\.
(OR) c:\cpqdos\. <====for Compaq Computers
Edit the CARDID.INI file and add the library LanModem.CLB:
edit c:\cardsoft\cardid.ini
OR
edit c:\cpqdos\cardid.ini <====for Compaq Computers
Find the section which starts "[Libraries]", and add the line
CardLib=lanmodem.clb
before any other "CardLib=" lines.
When the card is inserted it will beep. Use CARDCHEK.EXE to check
the card has been configured correctly (look at the "PCMCIA
Hardware" option).

computer, have your LanModem, Drivers Disk, and the following

* Version number of CARDEN.EXE and any drivers you are running
* The extact text of any error message displayed on your screen
* The type of computer
* The type of network

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
